Long time no Update!

Feb. 17th, 2009 | 10:10 pm

Hey everyone!

I know it's been a long time since my last post. There is a reason for this. Apparently some of the work that I was doing and some of the people that I was working with was suppose to be kept confidental and I got in trouble for writing about it in my blog. Well, I no longer work with those people and for a million good reasons. However, won't bother going into detail!

Just a quick update:

A loooot has happen in the last month or so. I've been working like crazy on a million different projects making fairly good money. Manakin Media is well on it's way to success and I have Peter to thank for that. He's doing a great job getting us clients.

I finally found the perfect studio office on Main stree in Waterville above carbon copy. It's on the 3rd floor! It's absolutely huge! I will be renovating and advertising for the first month and a half. And hopefully officially open to the public by spring! It's going to be a lot of work but I am ready for w.e comes ahead. Ive been working on my buisness plan. Got my business license. I am all set to go :)

I'm going to bed early tonight so that I can start cleaning and paiting the place tomorrow. It's going to take a million years to paint that place since it's so big. But I can't wait :)

Success?

Jan. 13th, 2009 | 10:40 pm

You know, it doesn't matter how successful you are in life if you don't have someone to share it with.

No matter how well I do, in any aspect of my life, it never seems to be enough. There is always something missing. Always someone missing.

I tell myself everyday that the only person that I need to be happy is myself. I make my own happiness. But I feel that I won't know what real happiness is until I find the one I'm suppose to share that with  as well.

We were put on this earth to love and be loved. I'm ready to love. I'm just waiting to be loved in return.

Long time no post!

Alright, the last week has been absolutely crazy. I officially finished Onfps.com, Gstream.com, Peter's clan site, and Peter's blog.

As stressful as all of this has been, It definitely feels good to have finished it all. The hard work was worth the outcome.

I took Thursday and Friday off. I think. I don't really remember that far back.

On saturday I went to Orono to do some photos for A Breath Beyond Broken and Too Late the Hero. I met some really great people. Bryan who plays in A Breath Beyond Broken was an absolute sweetheart. I really enjoyed meeting him. The other band members were really great too. Sarah, the singer, was really down to earth. We were suppose to do promos that day but they couldn't get to Maine until later in the day and by that time it was too dark. I do look forward to working with them again soon though. Definitely a great group. Vew More

I also will be working with Too Late the Hero soon. They need a Myspace done. I'm in the process of having an illustration draw up for them by Dustin's roommate Brain. He's a really awesome guy. And really talented. His artwork is really great. I hope to help him out by referring bands to him when they need Illustrations done. I'm going to have him to a lot of different font's comming up. Some of the bands I'm going to be working with are a little more heavy and like that illustrated alternative look. I know he'll do a great job. View More.

I also met the guys from Sirena, a band from New Jersey. They had a cd player at their merch tabel and their merch guy asked me to listen. They weren't too bad. I ended up sitting and talking with them for a bit. Their guitarist designed their t-shirts and they were actually good so we talked about that for a while. I mentioned Rocket merch the next time they want to get things printed. They were really nice. Their singer was really nice too. and funny! Definitely had a really awesome time :)

And that's all I really have.. because my camera broke. My flash decided to stop working and gave my camera an Error when I had it open. So, completely devastated, I just got in my car and left. I was so upset. My camera is my life and how I make a 50% of my living. I called had Peter call me on the way home from Orono and vented for pretty much the entire ride haha. I asked him to look up prices for different cameras and stuff. So what I did, instead of wasting money on a completely new camera, because I don't have the money yet for the camera that I want to buy, I just bought a Speed light. I'm not a huge fan of detachables you all know this. But it was either that or waste money on the same model I have now. I got the Canon speedlite 430ex II, a shoe cord for off camera use, a flash bracket, NI batteries and the battery Charger for only 330$. NOT BAD. The speedlight itself is around 280. The shoe cord and flash bracket alone is roughly 100, and the batteries and charger are probably about 30-40. So I'm excited. I'll hopefully have it by friday. Then I can start shooting again. While I was cameraless for those brief few days It really made me realize how much I miss taking pictures. I haven't done any photos for soooo long. While I was enlsited I had so much motivation to go out and do things. And had all my savings to spend on traveling. Now I don't really have either. But this is going to change.

I spent all day Sunday editing photos. Then on Monday I started working on my new media site, Manakinmedia.com. It should be up and running by the end of the week so I will keep you all updated.

umm as far as my queen photoshoot. I'm still waiting on all the costumes so no one get discouraged. It's still going to happen.

As far as The Future Exposed. I will be sending in my work on the 17th. I still have no idea which photos I want to submit haha. I'm not sure if I'm still going to go to Wisconsin. I'd love too. But I don't know if I'm going to have the money I want to have to fly to Wisconsin by feb 13th. But we will see! I don't want to spend any more of my savings unless I absolutely have too!

Buttttt I'm going to try and updated daily again! Sorry it's been so long. I just don't have the time haha

Work Work Work

Jan. 6th, 2009 | 10:44 pm

Hey guys! I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what has been going on in my insanely crazy life.

It's been nothing but work work work for the last week. I've nearly finished all of Peters sites. Once that is done I will be working on my site, our new company site, and a site for Lelia Steinberg. For those of you who do not know who that is, she is 2pacs producer. How cool is that? What's even cooler though is how Peter actually knows her personally and get's to see her and hang out with her. What a lucky guy!

So aside from Peter's sites and Jeremy's site, I've been doing a lot of networking with a lot of bands lately. I have 10 or 11 that I will be working with in the new few weeks. So I will be even more busy than I am now. I had a meeting for a wedding today. That went really well. I love Matt and Liz they are so adorable! and their wedding is going to be gorgeous! So yeah.. I srsly have so much work coming at me in the next few weeks. This is awesome :)

I also talked with Zui today. She is handsdown the coolest person I've ever met in my life. She had me laughing so hard on the phone about so much shit. I can't wait for her to come back to NY so Chris and I can do hang out with her. She's so friggen awesome haha

I hung out with Dj and kinda Matt the other night. They got an amazizng new appartment! Dj and I spent half the night talking and catching up then we went to walmart and bought a doggie t-shirt for his new dog. It's like a mini pitbull haha he's so fucking adorable. The shirt was a racecar shirt so like when the dog was running around the appartment he was like a race dog.. or something haha but idk i had fun.

I'm also looking for a roommate! So if you're interested please let me know!

I'm getting tired so bye!

Some really big opportunities coming up in 2009!

Jan. 2nd, 2009 | 10:31 pm

Hey guys! It's been a few days since my last post! I've been really busy getting some last minute projects taken care off so that I can start 2009 on a nice clean slate!

I hope everyone had a really great New Year! I spent the early evening with Charlie, a good friend from high school, who was home from college! I definitely missed him and glad I got to see him. We only see each other every 2-3 months.

Then that night I spent at Jeremy's house! We all worked on getting his site up in running! Made a little New Years eve video.

So that was my little break into the new year haha :) I came home and slept a few hours. Dustin ended up calling and saying he was going to Big G's so I met up with him for lunch!! It's about time we saw eachother it's been a while which is weird because that just doesn't happen. Brian and Caleb were there! They are his roomates. I usually stay with them all in Lewiston. They are such awesome guys. I think out of all the people I've met in my life Dustin and I are just destined to be best friends forever. Kind of like if we both don't find someone else ot be with in life we'll somehow end up together kind of thing. I don't know if that makes sense or anything but that's how our relationship is.

After Big G's I went to see Charlie again! Then headed home. Took care of some stuff for Myspace. Took care of some stuff for Jeremy. Worked on Silents site wich technically is offically done! OnFPS anyway! I have a Clan site to make, A blog to design, and a video site to do. Shouldn't take too long. Silent is the man. Like he is such an awesome person. And not a shit bag like some people I know!

Here is the officially finished Jeremy Greene myspace!
www.myspace.com/jeremygreene

Anyway! As for some big news!

In February my band photography will be displayed at "The Future Exposed!" This is a 10 day event hosted in Wisconsin. There will be 10 stages with over 300 bands and work displayed by thousands of photographers around the world.. This is a HUGE opportunity! Me and Alyshia are going to fly to Wisconsin sometime between February 13th and February 22nd! We have a lot of work to do! We are in the process of starting our own clothing line and will be taking this opportunity to launch it and expose at this event! It's a secret so don't ask questions :). I will have my website up as well as my business cards all ready to be handed out! It's going to be big! Peter is working on flying out to see my gallery as well! Me and Alyshia will be staying at some really nice hotel set up for the photographers! I'm so happy with myself and how much I've done for myself. I'm done with people promising me this and promising me that. I don't need to be fed your bullshit. I CAN and WILL do this on my own. I don't need any favors. I won't bring myself to your level. I'm going to succeed in being me. Being genuine, hardworking, honest, and loyal. All of which is hard to come by in this industry and in life. And I am proud of my accomplishments.

As far as what I am working on right now. I'm working on Alyshia and my clothing line, as well as doing a lot of stuff for Jeremy and Myspace records. That's taking off quite nicely. There all such an awesome group of people and I'm really happy to be apart of it. Peter and I are in the process of finishing up all his sites and then working on mine. We've decided to go into some business together. We actually make a really good business pair. He's really awesome at what he does and he's a really great friend. I have a wedding to plan the 6th for July. I have a LOT of band work lined up in the next few weeks. Here is a list of bands I will be working with:

Last Chance to Reason - Promo photos and Myspace layout
The Great Jive - Promo photos
Only Blood will Tell - Promo photos and Myspace layout
Too Late the Hero - Myspace Layout
Horns Become Halos -
Promo Photos
Spies like us - Promo photos
The Breathing Method- Promo photos and Myspace layout

phone call finish later!

Thank you

Dec. 30th, 2008 | 12:53 pm

I've been getting a lot of compliments lately on my success and accomplishments as a designer and photographer. I just wanted to take the time to thank those of you who actually keep up with my work and send me messages about how happy you are for me and how I really deserve it. I really appreciate it. I love getting messages from you guys. It makes me feel good hearing that my work really inspires you. And it really makes me feel good hearing that you guys really respect me as a designer. As far as I'm concerned that's the biggest accomplishment I could ever achieve. Knowing that I inspire people. That's all I could have ever asked for. So thanks guys! And keep those messages coming! I love answering any and all questions you guys may have about the photography and design industry. So don't hesitate to ask.

Other than that, I've decided to start my first official Photo project titled " Queen"

Other than that I've just been working on a lot of different things
Finally finishing up Silents site
The work that's been put into it is retarded

Ect.. There's about a million pages of shit like that. It's the worst. I will NEVER agree to design a game website ever ever again. haha I mean it. Then there's the Exbit Entertainment site that should be up soon. I finished this a while ago and just finaly sent it to be coded.

Other than that.. just finishing the OnFPS site. Getting Jeremy's site ready to launch on New years. A few other small projects I'm working on. I've been completely stress free lately for some reason. It's awesome :)

What Christmas is all about

Dec. 25th, 2008 | 09:32 am

First off, merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all got to spend sometime with your families and really enjoy yourselves. I know I did.

So I've been ridiculously busy lately. Between silents website, the Rocket media website, and the overall stress, I've barely had anytime to breathe. I took a few days off this weekend to sleep. I needed it really bad. I was to the point where I literally could not keep my eyes open when walking to my kitchen to get a drink. Not only that but I was getting physically sick. I had the worst stomach aches, headaches, eye aches, I was losing a lot of weight. Stress really can do some damage to your body. I don't recommend working like I have the last month. It really is not worth risking your health for any amount of money.

Yesterday morning I had a photo shoot with this guy I knew from Winslow who contacted me about doing a photo shoot with him and his little bothers on Christmas Eve. The little boys were adorable. It is seriously the greatest feeling in the world taking photos for someone who is going to give them as gifts to their parents. I gave my father photos of him and his Dad that I had took during hunting seasons and also photos of all of his brothers. He appreciated it so much, so I can just imagine how Josh's parents felt. I always feel so amazing after a photo shoot, not only is the feeling in itself is great, but also getting paid to do what you absolutely love to do is the greatest feeling of all.

And then last night I went to my Aunts house for Christmas. I actually really enjoyed myself and spending time with my family, that's unusual. I guess it's just one of those things you have to wait to grow up to realize how valuable the time spent with your family really is. Or maybe that's just me. But this year just felt different. I just wanted to be with my mom, dad, and bother. The relatives weren't half bad either.

We came home, opened gifts, relaxed; it was nice. Then everyone went to bed, I called Tj and spent a few hours talking on the phone. That was really nice too. He seems like a really great guy. We're planning on New Years Eve together which makes me really really excited because I think we're going to go to MA and find some party or something. I'm not really sure what's going on for NYE but at least I have a date! That's all I realllllly care about :)

I was just thinking about last Christmas Eve. It was the first christmas I had a boyfriend. I was with Mike at the time, it really sucks thinking about it still. i haven't been with anyone since. I really thought he was the one. We went to a christmas party at Charlies house where we had our first kiss, He spent christmas eve and christmas day at our house. My parents got him gifts and we all spent time together. Then that night we snuggled up in bed and fell asleep together. I remember waking up to him in the middle of the night with him staring at me and saying, " I can't sleep. I can't stop thinking about how perfect you are, and how happy you make me." It's probably one of the most instense memories I could ever remember. I get so sad when I think about it. The next few days after christmas I spent with him in Portland. We had a great time together. Then on New years eve he just started acting different. Everything had changed. He wouldn't even look at me. Then that night we spent driving around and ended up at the parking garage over looking Portland. Somehow I had a feeling things were over and then that morning he pretty much dragged me to my car hugged me, said goodbye, and that was the last time I ever saw or heard from him again. He's not the person I thought he was. I'm just sorry I didn't see who he really was sooner. The real Mike is an asshole and needs to grow a pair!

Other than that though, I just missed the way I felt this time last year. I mean my life is really great, I have everything I could ever ask for. Great friends, great family, an awesome job. I'm happy with myself and the person I've become. But I really wish I could find that person who I'm suppose to spend the rest of my life with so we can start sooner rather than later. I just want to love and care for someone.

and until then, all my time and effort are going into these people, the way it should be.
